The Australian Education Research Organisation (AERO) invites you to be part of a new paid initiative that could change the future of education in Australia. AERO is seeking over 250 people from urban, regional, remote and very remote communities to join its First Nations Expert Reference Group (ERG).

Position details 

  • Meeting frequency: Quarterly meetings will be held to discuss initiatives, strategies and progress in First Nations education. 

  • Remuneration: Reference group members will be remunerated for their time and expertise. 

  • Who we’re looking for: People with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences in First Nations education. Whether you're involved in early childhood education, higher education, community engagement, or any other key areas, your insights are invaluable to us.

Selection process 

  1. EOIs will be reviewed to assess qualifications, expertise and commitment.  
  2. Shortlisted candidates will undergo due diligence to verify qualifications and confirm availability. 
  3. Final ERG members will be selected based on how their qualifications, expertise and experience contribute to a diverse and impactful group.
